Dr. Baning is a an experienced counselor with diverse spiritual and ethnic backgrounds. He has been a member of Presbyterian, Pentecostal, Black, White, Latino, African and other Multiracial churches. Due to this association with people of diverse faith and culture, he has gained a deep understanding of how certain doctrine and cultural backgrounds influence a person: spiritually, mentally, emotionally and relationally. This insight helps him to counsel people of diverse faith in their journey towards wholeness . His counseling approach is wholistic; all rounded; healing the spirit, the soul and the body.

His extensive studies around the world have given him a deep understanding and appreciation of the languages and culture of the people he counsels. You shall know the Truth and the Truth will set you free. The word "Truth" in Greek is (your) "reality as it stares in your face." It takes a lot of courage to look at the reality of our past, accept it, acknowledge it and bring that area, which maybe childhood abuse before The Father for healing. Oh, but my friend, fear not! Whatever you lost within very decade of your life there is Super Power that will restore unto you in double portion. The Word "Psychopathology" (psuche pathologia in the Greek) ; means a disease of the soul (psycho means soul, pathology means disease). There is a safe place where you will not be judged, slapped with scriptures, counseled to stay in abuse, told to pray more, fast more, read your Bible more and you will be just fine. Friends that is not true! There is more to it than that. We are not only spiritual beings but we are spirit, soul and body. The Human soul which is the Mind, Emotion (and the Will) also gets sick just as the body and it may need healing through healthy Psychotherapy and Counseling.

Domestic Violence: Do you know the symptoms of domestic abuse? Please find out and do not suffer in silence. Remember your body is the precious temple and it cannot be abused. What is submission and machismo? Is it submission to an abusive spouse? Do you stay in an abusive relationship because they told your priest of pastor says do not separate from your spouse? Do you know if you continue to submit yourself to any abuse of any form, you are sinning against yourself, and your abuser? Please come and find out the Truth on these matters for yourself actually. Life is precious and is lived only once. Does your spouse rape you, demand sex and use you as sex object? Wake you up in the might for sex always or keep you awake in the both? Control all the finances, verbally abuse you and call you names? is your spouse involved in multiple affairs? Do you know affairs are other forms of abuse and mental cruelty?

If you truly love your spouse and you seek his/her highest good you will not let him/her continue to heap hot coals on his own head by abusing a Princess/Prince of The Most High. What are you afraid of? God or man? Is your spouse bigger than God? If you truly love him/her, then do something now before it is too late. Are you going to stay in this till you die? Don't you know this will a be a generational curse that will be passed on to your children and grandchildren?

You are not alone and your are not the bad one as the abuser will psychologically manipulate and intimidate you with fear to believe about yourself. Please do some soul searching and ask yourself. Please take a paper and honestly answer these questions "Why have I stayed in this abusive or adulterous relationship for so long? What is in me that attract abusers? What has broken in my soul so the extent that I cannot gather the strength to leave? What am I afraid of? Afraid of being alone financially?

Do you know if you condone abuse or adultery; it might be possible that you have a codependent relational style that destroys you psychologically and emotionally. A person who stays in toxic relationship for too long loose their identity, sense of self and purpose in life.

Have you thought about the damage you are causing to your children in this toxic environment. Children are like sponges( even in the womb) they absorb the toxic or healthy environment around them and transfer or counter transfer the abuse and anger on others. Please gather some courage to call the law enforcement agency. You going to stay in this till you die in it? I believe your life and purpose is more than this !

Never allow anybody to counsel you to stay in abuse because it is sinful and you the abused are partaking of the sin by staying in it. The struggles in a marriage could be part of the growth process, but that is not what we are talking about here. We are taking about one being a partaker of of a pathological behavior by subjecting yourself to it because of the fear of man, selfishness or ignorance. My dear , please life is short and too precious to waste in toxic relationships. Please do not listen to the nonsense of church folks who will ask you to stay in abusive relationship. Yes, there will be some struggles, doubts and fears, but remember the freedom ahead of you. Please if you are such a situation "Tell your self I can leave without this man/woman and get some protection from the Law and get out of there. You are too precious for this kind of abuse and torment !

We do take the holy sanctity of marriage seriously, but does the sanctity of marriage overrides the sanctity of human life? What type of God will continue to allow His children to be abused , but the choice is yours; to gather the strength to break away from such toxic relationship. This is serious business ; my dear we are talking about life and death here.

Some people of religious background will yank this verse from Haggai 2 out of context God says "He hates divorce" those whose marriages are cozy and just faking it and facing reality. But they forget the second part of that verse. GOD HATES VIOLENCE ! In our Christian mental health field there are some cruel treatment as emotional and psychological violence; which are more volatile and subtle than physical violence ! When a relationship get to a point of irreparability , I believe God does not want a relationship that is supposed to edify and build up to destroy us. At that point I strongly believe is for the good for the couple to separate or divorce to save their psyche from destruction and that of the children also from the toxic system. They are no longer equally yoked, the heart has been hardened and one or both of them are not walking according to the principles of the GOD OF LOVE in I Corinthians 13.

Jesus came, so that we will have life and have it exceedingly abundantly! Is this the life of abundance Jesus came to die for us to enjoy? Should marriage be so tortuous like this? These questions I frankly ask my Christian counselees even the ministers that I counsel because they have million of excuses to stay in a toxic marriage that impede the The Lord's purposes, but a study have been done that proves bad marriages kills but good marriages help people to live longer. So what do we choose? Life or Death?

Premarital Counseling: Have you thought about the fact that the only license you can get without training is the marriage license? Please get some marital education before you obtain the marriage license. Please do not jump into this eternal covenant too quickly. Seek some godly counsel. Falling in love is not the 100% prerequisite for marriage. There is more to it than , "We are in love." We conduct tests to asses the strengths and weaknesses of the relationship. We help couples develop strategies to deal with "red flags" in the relationship before they decide to marry. Family of origin issues, abuse from the past, communication, financial management, spiritual compatibility, mental health issues, past sexual soul ties and ungodly soul ties with family, need to be dealt with before they can leave to cleave to a partner in a godly way healthy way.

Prepare / Enrichment for Premarital and Marital Counseling: We are trained as Prepare/Enrich counselors to administer this helpful testing tool to determine the strengths and growth areas for couples. Past Sexual Soul Ties: It is very important to break all soul ties with everyone you have slept with before marriage, if you want a successful marriage. Sexual union is supposed to occur in marriage only; to bind a couple together spirit, soul and body. Therefore, when sexual union occurs outside marriage, this soul bonding occurs. And if a person has not broken them they enter marriage with a cobweb of souls tied to the spouse some problems may arise later. It is therefore very important to seek help to tear your soul apart from all premarital sexual union before marriage even if you are married already. This is the reason why some marriages fail, especially second marriages.

Divorce: Please do not rush into divorce because there is hope in Jesus. We can help you to save your marriage if you are willing to do the hard work of restoration. There is help for you to cope with divorce and separation.

Divorce Recovery: If you have been through this painful ordeal, we are here to help you get the healing you need so that you can move into other healthy relationship. Please do not rush into another relationship to numb the pain of fear and loneliness. You will hurt yourself, please wait to be healed: spiritually, mentally and emotionally.

Abuse: Spiritual abuse, satanic abuse, ritual abuse, pastoral abuse, marital abuse, childhood abuse, sex abuse, rape, date rape, incest, emotional, verbal abuse, control and manipulation, codependency, arguments, infidelity, pornography, sexual problems . Do you know adultery is a form of abuse and mental cruelty?

Family problems: breaking cycles of intergenerational family curses. Help you understand your family genogram (tree) and spiritual dynamics involved. Stop the the recycle of curses, abuse, divorce, ailments, now etc. If you have the will to conquer this there will be a wide way in front of you in spite of the struggle.

Infidelity/ Affair Counseling: We will help you heal, go through all the stages of grief , reestablish trust, find the dynamics behind the affair, what unmeet childhood needs/pain and longings made the person vulnerable, what is missing in the marriage. That child may be the next Einstein, Bill Gates, Oprah , Mother Theresa Give the precious baby a chance to live like you and you will never regret. Overcome the shame and academic and vocational hardship; at least the baby could be given for adoption. Thin about this: How will you feel if your parents tell you they wanted to abort you but they choose to give you the gift of life. It may be difficult, but sweetheart, you will never regret the joy of giving another human being the opportunity to see this world and make an impact.

Post Abortion Trauma: When a woman (man) decide to get an abortion, spiritually she (they) enters into a blood covenant with the devil (Molech). The devil wants children's blood. Do you know the reason why a lot of people who work with Planned Parenthood are wicca witches and wizards. The spirit of death attaches itself to women who have had an abortion (and the men too). The spirit of death, fear and depression sometimes follow the female (couple) until they renounce and reject the spirit of death and all association with Molech (the ancient god in the Bible, to whom the pagans offered their children in the fire for prosperity) We will help you discover healing, deliverance, forgiveness and freedom from guilt.

There are complex life long psycho emotional sufferings that go with abortion and unless this is treated a person may live in torment for the rest of their lives. Among the psycho emotional issues are: guilt, condemnation, shame, depression, anxiety, infertility, feelings of unforgiveness, self hatred, seasonal suicidal ideation, medical disorders, fear of getting pregnant or recurrent miscarriages.. to mention a few.

My friend you do not have to live under the torture of the devil's condemnation anymore! You do not have to dread Mother's Day and dates of the abortion anymore! We are here to help you deal with the spiritual impact, that is the demonic association with the spirit of death and treat the psycho - emotional toll this ordeal is taking on you. You are forgiven by the Supreme Being !!!! No more condemnation ( Rom 8:1)

Relationship issues: dealing with difficult people at home and at work, difficult family and parents

Loneliness: You cannot make friends, relationship with others is just superficial, afraid of rejection, don't want people to know who you from the inside out?

Tyranny of Secrecy: Is there any secret in your past tormenting you? This take a heavy toll on you psychologically and emotionally. The healing comes from confessing it to a loving caring person who will understand your struggle and respect your confidentiality.

Infertility Counseling, Miscarriage: We know the emotional pain associated with this and we will walk with you .

Separation, break up: this can impact a person severely and if not well treated may result in depression, anxiety, cognitive distortion (core beliefs and inner vows that are ungodly "l can never trust again" even as a teenager)

Style of Relating: Breaking free from self protective strategies used to masquerade personal pain of the past. Love addiction, codependency, marital conflicts and arguments? Teach communication skills and techniques to deal with conflicts and shame. Attracted to bad guys/girls, toxic relationships? Your style of relating to others may depend upon your self concept and your core beliefs. Self fulfillment prophesies according to your core beliefs will often be inevitable. People will treat you according to the way you treat and think about yourself. Please change the negative portrait within; choose to be happy in Life, for life is too short to waste on negativity!.

Life works synergistically and most of the time opposites attract. Abusers will always attract the abused, controllers attract people pleasers and doormats, non confrontational attract manipulators, good girls attract bad boys, the quiet attract the loud, etc. Have you thought about that? What is your style of relating to people? There is an underlying psychology of attraction which the enemy takes advantage of. It is time to break this toxic cycle of unhealthy relational style so that you can develop a healthy Christ like way of relating freely to others with joy.

Self concept/Insecurity/Fear of Man: hatred of self, body image issues, forgiveness of self, hard on yourself, do you need plastic surgery or healing of core beliefs about yourself?

Women's Issues: PMS, postpartum depression, menopausal issues, body image, beauty/thin cult, self concepts, low self esteem, aging, lies of the media, sexual abuse, sexual problems in marriage, work and marriage, stress, etc

Men's Issues: ego, ambition, pride, work and family, workholism to fill a void/escape, lust, porn, TV and Internet Porn, temptation at work and church, keeping eyes of some immorally dressed women of today, being a pure holy man of God that He can use, etc.

Body Image: Does the picture of yourself come the media culture? How much anxiety, depression and low self worth are you suffering in your soul and relationships due to the cult of self? The "cult of thinness", "bosom power" "muscle man", too black, too white, too tall, too short, too thin , too heavy, flat chested, big chested, breast implant, penile implant, not pretty enough? According to whose standards? Does the uniqueness of your core being be compared to someone else.

Can something unique be compared to another? Say to your self daily" I am unique and special and have unique purpose to fulfill in life before I die and I am going to make it" Have though about the fact that there has been nobody like you. Your face, DNA, fingerprints, voice is different from everyone. That uniqueness cannot be compares to the communistic cult of self image portrayed by the culture and media? Come and let us reason this out and get rid these false pathological cultural beliefs. It does not men you should a nun dressed in black all the time, But your body is a temple please take good care of it and appreciate your body by following healthy eating habits and regular exercise. These activities release endorphins into your body. People who know who they are from the inside , stable and individuated form the media culture.

Low Self Esteem & Low Motivation: Do you see yourself as you were created to be ? In whose image are you created? How does this view of yourself affect you internally and externally? How does it prevent you from achieving your potentials and is it impacting your relationships? Self concept is powerful in the pursuit of goals, dreams and aspirations.

Addicted to approval/Fear of Man/Fear of Rejection: Are you always seeking to impress people, please everybody except God and yourself? Seeking approval and attention from authority figures? It always feels good to hear people tell you "she/he is such a nice person". Always try take care of everybody except yourself? This is bondage and you need to be freed from that to live as a person not controlled by an internal drive of fear of rejection!

Addicted to Rejection: Do you view almost every action through the lenses of rejection, guilt, shame, condemnation, cycle of rejection , failures, etc?

Racial Discrimination, Interracial & Intercultural Issues: Victims of racism suffer psychologically and emotionally. They may need treatment to alleviate the symptoms. You may be a leader who wants help with intercultural issues in your church or company to maximize productivity through racial sensitivity program.

Boundaries in relationships: Fear of confrontation, hard to say no, always being taken advantage of, feel like a doormat, afraid to stand up to people, etc.

Assertiveness Training: Speak the truth in humility without fear to anybody at anytime and at any place!

Stress Management: work, family, financial, divorce, relationships, etc. Help you to deal with psychosomatic effects of stress such as tension headaches, depression, backaches, chronic pain, ulcers, arthritis, heart problems, insomnia, diarrhea, grinding of teeth, irregular menses, etc.

Anger Management: Do you, your spouse or any family member get angry over insignificant things? Throw things, break things, slam doors, is verbally abusive, use anger to control , manipulate, intimidate and protect emotional wounds of the past. Our out of pocket fee is very reasonable ( almost half of the normal price of today's psychotherapy which rages from $150 to $275 per hour) We prefer out of pocket payment but we also do take Insurance payment on out of Network Basis.

Insurance payment : We accept most insurance on out of network basis . The payment is the usual customarily rate different from the above. Payment by Insurance is different from out of pocket. If the Insurance company does not pay the full amount, the counselee will be responsible for the co insurance payment We usually try to help people in need by lowering the co insurance payment

If you do not have insurance please do not hesitate to call us. Our desire is to prevent hurting people from not seeking help because of money. We want to make psychotherapy affordable to those who need it.

Please note that authorization does not guarantee payment from the insurance company. If the Insurance company does not / fails to pay the full amount the counselee will be responsible for the full payment or the co insurance payment.

Payment By Insurance: We charge our full fee, but with out of pocket payment we give people a break so as to make therapy available to people who are in dire need of it.

Appointments: Appointments can be made by phone or email. Please be sure that you are ready to be committed to this healing process before we book the appointment. You will be responsible for the payment of all missed appointments. We advise that you make the counseling process your priority.

Please it is very important to keep the scheduled time. Remember, your session begins at the scheduled time. If you are late, we can only use the time left for your session.

If you need to cancel please do so as soon as possible. This must be done 48 hours before the appointment otherwise you will have to pay the full amount for the session. That time slot has been exclusively reserved for you alone.

No child care is provided: Please, I plead with you not to bring children to the sessions. The counseling just become a baby-sitting session and unfruitful. Please try to find a baby sitter, or cancel the appointment and pay for the session. Counseling environment, where confidential issue are discussed is not healthy for children; unless they are part of the therapy process.

Nature of Counseling: Each appointment is 45 to 50 minutes. We do brief counseling that may be 6 to 12 sessions, however some cases may last longer.

COUNSELING FOR OUT OF STATE RESIDENTS: If you live out of state (far from the Tri state area) and would like to come for intensive psychotherapy, deliverance and healing we will arrange something for you. There are motels/hotels at reasonable prices in the area. You can come for a week or weekend intensive sessions. Believe me, you will go back noticing a great difference in you and the trip will be worthwhile. Once again, the truth is, no amount of money spent in good psychotherapy, can be compared to the joy of healing and deliverance from a long-standing soul disease or conflictual marital relationship. PHONE, EMAIL AND ONLINE COUNSELING: We sometimes offer Phone and Online Counseling. We advise such method only when one cannot meet with us in person. Should one choose to use the Internet or the phone, please note that this is a counseling session and is very different from chat room conversation or friendly phone conversation. And as such it is very important that one must secure his/her own privacy and confidentiality at their location before and during counseling session. For reason of confidentiality, such sessions must be free from interruptions. Please talk from a place where you can be completely alone and uninterrupted. Please we advise you not to drive while conducting an individual phone counseling. This is the responsibility of the client.

This is important counseling session which involve spirit, soul and body and we attach equal care, importance and abide by the counseling code of ethics. We advice that the counselee accord the session such priority and importance. The same applies to the phone counseling.
